Made a bunch of sales since my last posting here. Sold “The Pale Thin God” to the Alternate Theologies anthology; sold “Isaac Intrepid’s Paradox” to the Timeshift anthology; and sold a Lucifer Jones story, “Word From on High”, to Pulphouse #4.
Also…sold the Dreamscaoe Trilogy, consisting of The Master of Dreams, The Mistress of Illusions, and The Lord of Nightmares, all forthcoming from DAW Books, to Blackstone Audio.
Just sold “Defeating the Champeen”, which will be the first story in ESCAPADES, the 6th and final Lucifer Jones book, to UFO 7, edited by Alex Shvartsman. This is his 7th UFO anthology (the UFO stands for Unidentified Funny Objects), and I have been in each of them.
I’m pleased to announce that SOOTHSAYER, the first of my Oracle Trilogy, has been optioned by Intrinsic Value Films.
Three recent re-sales to China (to three different markets): “The Wizard of West 34th Street” went to Mengya magazine, “Guardian Angel” went to SFW magazine, and “El and Al vs. Himmler’s Hideous Horde from Hell” went to SF Cube magazine.
Just sold “The Ten Commandments” to HOLY C.O.W., a forthcoming anthology, and re-sold “The Pale Thin God” to ALTERNATIVE THEOLOGY FOR THE RELIGIOUS RIGHT, another anthology. That should get religious science fiction out of my system for a few months.
I just sold — well, actually, re-sold — my Infernal Comedy trilogy consisting of PARADISE: A CHRONICLE OF A DISTANT WORLD, PURGATORY: A CHRONICLE OF A DISTANT WORLD, and INFERNO: A CHRONICLE OF A DISTANT WORLD, to French publisher ActuSF.
I have been judging — and praising — Writers of the Future for more than a decade now, so I might as well supply anyone who’s interested or curious about it with a link: https://www.writersofthefuture.com
And while I’m at it, here’s a link to the recent judges, so you’ll know the quality of mentors

Wordfire Press is bringing back my 1981 novel, THE SOUL EATER. Analog declared that “Well before the end you will know yourself deep in the clutches of abstraction…of art, if you will.” To which Science Fiction Review added: “In the end…well, THE SOUL EATER is an extraordinary love story.”
Just won my second Galaxy Award (China’s equivalent of the Hugo) in two years, this one for being the Most Popular Foreign Author. Here’s a photo of the ceremony.
Announcing another new book, my 6th this year (which ain’t bad for an Old Guy). This one is an anthology, AVATAR DREAMS, which I co-edited with Kevin J. Anderson and Harry Kloor. Due out any minute from Wordfire Press.
