Map of the Birthright Universe

(click on map for larger version, click again for even more detail)

Russell Morrissey, the fellow whose EN company just bought the gaming rights to Santiago, just created this map of the “Birthright Universe”, the universe I created 29 years ago in Birthright: the Book of Man, into which I have set 32 more novels and about 20 stories, including Santiago. Personally, I love it.

As a fan, and from a purely aesthetic point of view, I love is as well…but as an astronomer with an interest in politics, I think that those borders are just entirely too neat, and the scales are entirely unrealistic. It is only a nitpick, of course…:)

Since I didn’t draw it, I am not resposible for errors an astronomer finds. But I think it’s lovely. :-)
