Just found out that the current issue of Booklist ranks The Cassandra Project, by Jack McDevitt and myself, among the top ten science fiction novels published from May, 2012 to May, 2013.

    Just a quick question, was it your or McDevitt’s idea to include the “socialism will ruin us”, “privatization makes everything better”, “libertarian = awesome, not libertarian = evil” and “anthropogenic climate change is a hoax” tropes?

    Because I can’t picture the man who wrote Birthright and 43 Dynasties as a right-wing extremist.
