Sold another story

Just sold “Observation Post” to Beyond the Sun, edited by Bryan Thomas Schmidt. This was originally sold to an English/Czech anthology, was paid for, and then the anthology was cancelled at the last minute. I made a few minor changes to fit Bryan’s theme, and this will be its first appearance (though second sale; have fun, bibliographers.)

Very cool–I actually used to read you in high school and recently stumbled upon some of your older books in a used book store(Walpurgis 3 and Prophet)–great stuff. Will pick up some of your newer stuff!

  Thanks for the kind words. I started selling when I was 15, and have been a full-timer since 1969. I used to wince when gray-haired fans would come up and say “I’ve been reading you since I was a kid”, but by this point all I do is thank them and congratulate them on their taste.
