This is Vincent diFate’s cover art to Win Some, Lose Some, my Chicon 7 Guest of Honor book, to be published by Isfic Press. The book will contain all 30 of my Hugo-nominated stories – 5 winners, 24 losers, 1 still undecided. Carol wrote the intro to the book, and each story is introduced by a different friend: Gardner Dozois, Nancy Kress, Harry Turtledove, Connie Willis, Laura Resnick, Janis Ian. Ralph Roberts, Barry Malzberg, John Scalzi, Nick DiChario, Kristine Kathryn Rusch, Michael Stackpole, Susan Shwartz, Lou Anders, Michael Swanwick, Kay Kenyon, David Brin, Jack McDevitt, Eric Flint, Kevin J. Anderson, Robert Silverberg, Catherine Asaro, Sheila Williams, Michael A. Burstein, Robert J. Sawyer, Lezli Robyn, James Patrick Kelly, Bill Fawcett, Kij Johnson, and Brad R. Torgersen.

Is this a book that’ll be for sale at Chicon7?
Yes, WIN SOME, LOSE SOME is the Guest of Honor book for Chicon 7, and will be on sale there. It will be publiished by Isfic Press, the publishing arm
of the Chicago group. I’ve done two other books for them, and can vouch
for their quality.
Other books coming out sometime between today and Worldcon in 6
weeks include:
RESNICK’S MENAGERIE (Silverberry Press)
RESNICK ABROAD (Alexander Books)
THE INCARCERATION OF CAPTAIN NEBULA AND OTHER LOST
FUTURES (Subterranean Press)
STALKING THE ZOMBIE (American Fantasy Press)
MASTERS OF THE GALAXY (PS Publishing)
WITH A LITTLE MORE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS (Farthest Star)
RESNICK ON THE LOOSE (Wildside Press)
I have already proofread and corrected the galleys to all but
RESNICK ON THE LOOSE, so I can guantee the first seven
titles will be available at Chicon, and I have no reason to think
the 8th won’t be. I’ve never had this many books come out so
close together, but then I’ve never been Guest of Honor at
Worldcon before; I think I can guarantee it won’t happen again.
One other book I should mention: MIKE RESNICK — AN
ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY AND GUIDE TO HIS WORK,
SECOND EDITION, by Adrienne Gormley and Fiona Kelleghan,
published by Farthest Star. I haven’t seen it, since I’m not the
author, but I’ve been in daily touch with Ms. Gormley, and I
guarantee it’ll be up to the minute. The first edition, which came
out at Chicon 6 in 2000, runs almost 500 pages, and I’ve been
pretty busy since then.
