I'm and author of 74 novels, over 260 stories, and 3 screenplays, and the editor of 42 anthologies. My work has been translated into 27 languages. I am currently the editor of the Stellar Guild line of books, and Galaxy's Edge magazine.

New story sale

Just sold “Full-Time Employment” to The Grimm Future, edited by Erin Underwood. The conceit was that each writer had to take a Grimm’s Fairy Tale and science-fictionalize or change it. I chose #177, and did a little of both.

Another dog story re-sold

Just re-sold “Blue” to Joy Ward’s anthology, Dogs and Dragons. This will be its eighth appearance, which ain’t bad for a 1978 story based on a Burl Ives folk song.
